On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, a family gathering at Russell Square Park in Denver, Colorado, turned into a scene of tragedy. Amidst the festivities, an exchange of gunfire erupted between at least one individual in a passing vehicle and at least one person attending the gathering in the park. In the crossfire, 43-year-old Sharon Ware was struck in the head by a bullet from a. 223-caliber rifle and died at the scene.
