A 911 hang-up call led police to a grim discovery at a home in Lower Windsor Township on the afternoon of Friday, April 10, 2026. Inside the residence on the 600 block of Trolley Road, officers found a deceased couple, identified as 64-year-old Lisa L. Garner and 66-year-old Kevin B. Garner. The York County Coroner's Office was called to the scene.
The investigation determined that Lisa L. Garner's death was a homicide, while Kevin B. Garner's death was ruled a suicide.
Both individuals died from gunshot wounds to the head. Lisa Garner was discovered on a sofa, and Kevin Garner was found seated in a chair with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the community and the motive for the murder-suicide remains unclear. The Lower Windsor Township Police Department, with assistance from York County Detectives, is continuing to investigate the incident. While autopsies will not be performed, routine toxicology tests are planned.
