Christopher Aguilar, a 27-year-old Hispanic/Latino man, was killed in an early-morning shooting on April 13, 2026, on Milwaukee's south side. The gunfire erupted at about 5:30 a.m. near South 7th Street and West Historic Mitchell Street, in the 700 block of West Mitchell Street. Aguilar was found on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred outside the offices of Voces de la Frontera, an immigrant-rights organization located along Historic Mitchell Street.
