In the early hours of Saturday, March 14, 2026, a burst of gunfire in the Yellow Lot parking area of the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse, New York, shattered the late-night quiet. When Syracuse Police officers arrived at the scene around 12:14 a.m., they discovered that a young man who had been shot had already been transported by a private vehicle to Upstate University Hospital.
