In what authorities are investigating as a potential murder-suicide, 21-year-old Alahna Ganann was found deceased in her Midland, Texas, home on Friday, March 20, 2026. The tragic discovery was made after police and fire departments responded to a 911 call from the mother of 20-year-old Armoni Loya.
Loya's mother contacted emergency services at approximately 10:36 a.m. after receiving a distressing phone call from her son.
She then went to Ganann's residence in the 1100 block of Delmar, where she found her son unresponsive. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered both Ganann and Loya deceased inside the home. It was noted by police that Ganann resided at the location, but Loya did not.
Investigators reported that both Ganann and Loya, who were in a domestic relationship, had sustained gunshot wounds. The Midland Police Department has indicated that Loya's wound appeared to be self-inflicted. At the time of the incident, no one else was present in the residence.
