In Montgomery, Alabama, on the evening of Sunday, March 1, 2026, the life of 38-year-old Shanita Renee Lewis was tragically cut short in what authorities are describing as a domestic violence incident. The events unfolded on Chase Park Drive, near the Alabama River Parkway, where police responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 6:30 p.m.
