In the early evening of March 11, 2026, tragedy struck in a residential neighborhood in Waldorf, Maryland, claiming the life of 26-year-old Jakale Deshon Norman. At approximately 6:46 p.m., Norman was standing outside a residence in the 2200 block of Davis Road when a dark-colored SUV approached. Multiple gunshots were fired from the vehicle, striking Norman several times.
Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, with police and EMS personnel arriving within minutes to
find Norman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, including CPR, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Charles County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting as a homicide. Detectives believe the attack was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted incident. The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene in the dark-colored SUV, which was described as possibly being a black GMC or Chevrolet with dark tinted windows and a tinted tag cover. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the suspect or suspects remain at large. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the death of Jakale Deshon Norman.
