In the early morning hours of September 1, 2024, a large disturbance broke out on State Street in Clairton, Pennsylvania, where numerous people were fighting in the street. As police arrived at the scene around 4:10 a.m., multiple gunshots were fired into the crowd. In the ensuing chaos, Derrick Davis, a 28-year-old male from McKeesport, was shot. Despite his injuries, Davis managed to get into his vehicle and flee the scene.
