In the small community of Cut Bank, Montana, a grim discovery was made on February 7, 2026, that ended the life of 36-year-old Cerenity Marie Shawl. Her body was found in a freezer located in the basement of an apartment complex, a chilling end to a life friends and family described as bringing joy and light to those who knew her. An autopsy later confirmed that Shawl, a mother and beloved niece, had died from a single gunshot wound to the head, and her death was officially ruled a homicide.
