In the early hours of Sunday, February 15, 2026, the quiet of an Adelanto neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 12:24 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station were dispatched to the 11200 block of Auburn Avenue, near the Ridgeview Apartments, following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of Dajon Session, a 26-year-old resident of Adelanto.
Session was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel from American Medical Response were called to the scene, but their efforts were in vain as he was pronounced deceased at the location. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Detail was immediately notified and took over the investigation into the young man's death.
As of the days following the incident, authorities had not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
