In the early hours of January 2, 2026, the life of 17-year-old Lamar Dominic Miller Jr. was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, marking the city's first homicide of the new year. Around 12:45 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a single-car crash in the 800 block of North Tuxedo Street, near 10th Street and North Sherman Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Miller Jr. inside a vehicle that had struck a tree.
