In the late hours of Thursday, January 8, 2026, the life of 20-year-old Barrion Sanders was tragically cut short in Springfield, Illinois. At approximately 10:15 p.m., gunfire erupted in the 1600 block of East Edwards Street. When Springfield Police arrived at the scene, they discovered two individuals inside a vehicle who had been shot.
