In the late evening hours of January 9, 2026, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Big Spring, Texas neighborhood, leaving 36-year-old Phillip Samuel Lozano Jr. dead. Big Spring Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Langley Drive around 10:32 p.m. following reports of shots being fired.
