In what has been described as a tragic outcome of a significant financial fraud, 67-year-old Charles J. Geragi was shot and killed in his Boynton Beach, Florida, office on January 12, 2026. The male victim and his brother, Richard Geragi, 72, were found deceased at their business, All-American Farms Inc. The incident, which unfolded in the afternoon, prompted a swift police response after employees inside the office called 911 to report that two of the owners had been shot.

investigation quickly identified the suspect as Nesar Dawla, who had fled the scene. A search for Dawla ended in a brief police chase, during which he shot himself and crashed his vehicle. He was found deceased by officers at the scene of the crash. The motive for the tragic shooting appears to be linked to a multi-million dollar fraud case involving Nesar Dawla's brother, Sadman Dawla. Sadman, a former accountant for the Geragi brothers' company, had been convicted of defrauding the business of over $5 million.
Reports indicate that Charles Geragi had arranged a meeting with Nesar Dawla to discuss the potential repayment of the stolen funds. It was during this meeting that Nesar Dawla reportedly drew a handgun and opened fire, killing both Charles and Richard Geragi. While Nesar Dawla had been implicated in the fraud, there had previously been insufficient evidence for his arrest.
