A trip to a Florida car show ended in a tragic and senseless act of violence for 68-year-old Douglas Joseph Kraft, a male visitor from Columbus, Ohio. On the afternoon of Saturday, January 17, 2026, Kraft, his brother Robert Louis Kraft, 70, of Holland, Michigan, and their friend James John Puchan, 69, of Galena, Ohio, were fatally shot outside their rental home in Kissimmee.
The men were in town to attend the Mecum Car Show and were experiencing trouble with their rental car as they prepared to head home.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 12:15 p.m. and discovered the three men with apparent gunshot wounds in front of the residence. The attack was described by authorities as random, "cold-blooded," and premeditated, with no prior conflict between the victims and the assailant. The men were reportedly waiting for assistance with their vehicle when they were senselessly murdered.
Law enforcement quickly identified a suspect, 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, who lived next door to the rental property. Deputies located and detained Bojeh, who was seen running from the scene into his home. He was arrested within an hour of the shooting and has since been charged with three counts of first-degree, premeditated murder. Bojeh is being held in the Osceola County jail without bond.
Authorities revealed that Bojeh was known to local law enforcement and had a history of prior incidents. Court records show he was acquitted by reason of insanity in a 2021 shooting incident at a gas station. The families of the victims released a joint statement expressing their "unexpected, unimaginable loss" and stated that the three men "did not deserve this." The investigation into the horrific and senseless killings is ongoing.
