Tyjah Brevard, an 18-year-old male from Rock Hill, South Carolina, was killed in the first hours of November 28, 2025, when gunfire erupted at an apartment complex along the 2300 block of Eden Terrace near the intersection with Arrowhead Drive. Police responding to reports of shots found him outside, wounded so badly that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In those same chaotic minutes, officers also located another person inside an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
That survivor was taken to a hospital in critical condition, while detectives began working backward through the confusion of the late-night scene—piecing together who had been where, what set the confrontation in motion, and why two people had ended up shot. Early reporting described the case as an active homicide investigation with few details released beyond the location and the two victims found at the complex.
As the investigation developed, police concluded the shooting was tied to an attempted armed robbery. Authorities said Brevard and another Rock Hill man, Jaquavious Marcel White, confronted two males at gunpoint and demanded their belongings. During the robbery attempt, one of the intended victims drew a firearm and shot both suspects, killing Brevard and injuring White.
White’s injuries kept him in the hospital for a time, but once he was treated and released, police took him into custody.
