On the evening of Saturday, December 6, 2025, a violent incident unfolded at a BP gas station located on the near north side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Around 7:50 p.m., officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the business at 37 West 38th Street near North Meridian Street following reports of a person shot. Upon their arrival at the scene, first responders discovered a 55-year-old male, identified as Desmond Lee Perry Sr., suffering from apparent gunshot
wounds inside the establishment.
Emergency medical personnel quickly attended to the victim, transporting him to a local hospital in critical condition in hopes of saving his life. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Perry succumbed to his injuries a short time later and was pronounced deceased.
