On the early morning of December 9, 2025, a tragic sequence of events unfolded at a residence in the 300 block of Palmetto Drive in Lake Park, Florida, just north of West Palm Beach. Deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office rushed to the scene around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting within the home. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a dire situation stemming from a domestic disturbance, finding two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds inside the property.
Emergency responders attended to the female victim, identified as Nadege D'Haiti-Cajuste, a 44-year-old Black female, who was found in critical condition. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division launched an investigation and determined that the incident had arisen from a domestic altercation between the couple living at the residence.
The investigation identified the suspect as the victim's husband, 57-year-old Raymond D'Haiti. Authorities determined that during the dispute, Raymond shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Due to the death of the sole suspect, there were no arrests made or charges filed in connection with the homicide. The Sheriff's Office noted that there had been no documented history of calls to the residence prior to this fatal event.
