On the evening of Friday, December 12, 2025, the community of Cahokia Heights, Illinois, became the scene of a violent double homicide investigation after police discovered the body of 67-year-old Bruce A. Mason. Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Walnut Street around 9:11 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
