On the morning of December 15, 2025, authorities in Clovis, New Mexico, responded to a distress call reporting a potential burglary at a residence on York Drive. Upon arrival, officers were greeted outside the home by 19-year-old Darren Munoz, who claimed that everything was fine but initially hesitated to allow law enforcement inside, stating his parents were sleeping unclothed.
