Chad D. Schenk, a 41-year-old Black man, was found shot to death inside his apartment in Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood on December 17, 2025. At approximately 2:40 that afternoon, officers entered the residence in the 700 block of South Carpenter Street after one of Schenk's longtime friends requested a well-being check.
