On the evening of December 23, 2025, a 17-year-old Hispanic male named Francisco Serrano was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Yakima, Washington. The teenager was walking to his grandparents' house near the intersection of North 20th Avenue and Englewood Drive around 9:00 p.m. when the incident occurred. While making his way through the residential neighborhood, he was targeted by gunfire originating from a passing vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and
transported the critically wounded teen to a local hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite the life-saving efforts of medical staff, Francisco succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The sudden violence shook the community, with friends and family later gathering to mourn the loss of the young man, who was described in tributes as a unique and spirited individual.
