On Christmas night in 2025, a holiday intended for celebration turned into a tragic scene in a residential neighborhood of Deltona, Florida. Brenden Watkins, a 17-year-old male resident of the area, was discovered with life-threatening injuries on the 2000 block of El Campo Avenue. Volusia County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the location at approximately 8:49 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found the teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
