In Homestead Village, a small rural community in Ray County, Missouri, the midday silence was shattered by gunfire on November 12, 2025, resulting in the tragic death of a local resident. Daniel Konrardy, a 43-year-old White male, was found unresponsive outside a home in the 500 block of Arapahoe Drive after deputies were dispatched to the scene shortly after noon.
Law enforcement arrived to discover Konrardy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his back, neck, and forehead. Despite the arrival of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene, sparking an immediate homicide investigation in the normally quiet neighborhood located northeast of Excelsior Springs.
The sequence of events leading to the fatal shooting was quickly pieced together, largely due to a 911 call placed by the suspect himself. Glen Michael Stice, a 55-year-old resident, contacted authorities to report that he had shot a man. During the recorded call, Stice allegedly claimed the confrontation escalated when Konrardy attempted to throw a rock at him, which missed and struck Stice’s truck instead.
