Ti’chara Y. Williams, 20, a woman from Barberton, was found in the early morning darkness of October 27, 2025, on the 400 block of Stanton Avenue in South Akron. Officers called to the street just after 5:30 a.m. discovered her suffering from a gunshot wound; Akron Fire paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The Summit County Medical Examiner later identified her and determined she died from a gunshot wound to the torso, pinning a precise and devastating cause to a life cut short.
