Saikou Dem, a Black male, 20, was shot on the night of October 9, 2025, in Atlanta’s West End along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, where officers found him critically wounded after reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. He was rushed to a hospital and later died; the Fulton County Medical Examiner identified him as the victim. A second man, 21, arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and detectives said preliminary findings indicated both were part of the same incident.
