Douglas Aaron Harper Jr., 41, a male White/Caucasian from Epworth, Georgia, was found shot to death on October 9, 2025. Deputies with the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched around 7:15 p.m. to the 1300 block of Old Epworth Road after reports of gunfire. When deputies and McCaysville police arrived, they discovered Harper lying in the front yard of a home with an apparent gunshot wound.
