A Marine sergeant's body is found stuffed in a sleeping back in a van on I-40
In the late summer of 1972, a grim discovery was made on the shoulder of Interstate 40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On August 23rd, the body of 25-year-old Caucasian male, Ronald Thaisen, a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, was found inside a van. The manner of his death was violent and unsettling, as his mutilated remains had been placed within a sleeping bag. The scene offered few immediate clues to investigators, leaving them with a profound mystery.
