In the early morning hours of October 11, 2025, the life of 25-year-old Shayla Goretcki, a White/Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in her Midland, Michigan, apartment. Police were dispatched to the Robin Oaks apartment complex on Eastlawn Drive around 3:40 a.m. following a 911 call made by her boyfriend, 24-year-old Chepard Hompstead, reporting that she had been shot in the head.
