A sense of normalcy was shattered on a Sunday in Jackson, Mississippi, when 33-year-old Amelia Neal, a female, was tragically killed in a senseless act of violence. On October 12, 2025, Neal was a passenger in a silver Honda CRV, traveling east on Cynthia Road and nearing Highway 49. Suddenly, the vehicle was besieged by gunfire, a barrage of bullets let loose from a black passenger car bearing Louisiana license plates that had pulled alongside them on Medgar Evers Blvd.
