Dynasty Battle, 18, a woman, was shot and killed on the night of October 15, 2025, inside an upstairs apartment in the 900 block of North Ninth Street in Lafayette, Indiana. Officers responded just before 11 p.m. and found her with a gunshot wound; medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene. Investigators recovered a small-caliber pistol from the room as they began piecing together how an evening among acquaintances turned fatal.
