Robert Reiling, 60, a man from Niles, Illinois, died after being shot inside a home on the 8400 block of North Greenwood Avenue on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Police were called around 5:40 p.m. for reports of a man with a gun and shots fired; officers arrived to find Reiling mortally wounded. The Cook County Medical Examiner later determined he died from a shotgun wound to the head.
