Christopher Jamal Burton, 28, a male from Beaufort, was shot on Monday night, September 29, 2025, in the parking lot of Cross Creek Plaza near the Little Caesars on Robert Smalls Parkway. Officers arrived just before 9 p.m. to find him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, rendered lifesaving aid at the scene, and had him transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
