Death by Force

Charles Decloute, a 62-year-old Black man, was shot inside a home in the 2000 block of Sixth Street in Orange, Texas, on the night of Monday, May 26, 2025. Police were called just before 9:45–9:50 p.m. and found him with a gunshot wound to the head. First responders took him to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours that followed.
