T. L. Fuller, a Texas Ranger, was tragically shot and killed on October 15, 1900, in a barber shop in Orange, Texas. Fuller was the last member of the Frontier Battalion of the Texas Rangers to be killed in the line of duty. The shooter, Tom Poole, was arrested and tried for the murder of Ranger Fuller. However, Poole was acquitted on May 4, 1901.
