Joshua Fowlkes, 30, a Black male, was fatally shot on the night of June 3, 2025, after a confrontation in north Houston. Shortly after 10:25 p.m., police were first called to 400 North Sam Houston Parkway East, where an argument among several men spilled into a parking lot and escalated. Gunfire erupted during the fight, and Fowlkes was struck multiple times.
