Alex Brookins, a 22-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Houston, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on February 16, 2017. He was walking home with his brother in the South Union area of Houston when at least two black men drove by and fired multiple shots at them near the corner of Yellowstone Boulevard and Milart Street. Alex was pronounced dead at the scene, and his brother was injured but survived.
