On the evening of June 7, 2025, a summer gathering on Melba Street in Longview was pierced by gunfire. Officers arrived around 9:18 p.m. to find Isaiah Ross, a 31-year-old male from Longview, gravely wounded. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
