Billy Gipson, 16, a Black male from Fort Worth, was shot during a confrontation on the evening of June 15, 2025, on Asheville Lane in the city’s south side. Police said two people were arguing in front of a home in the 8400 block when one pulled out a rifle; as a struggle over the weapon began, a third person opened fire with a handgun, striking both Gipson and 25-year-old Jaylan Lemore Sharp.
