Lazette King, 46, a Black/African American woman, was found shot to death on June 17, 2025, inside an apartment in southeast Houston, Texas. Houston police responded to the complex off McHenry Street/Fairway Drive late that night and later confirmed that the victim was Lazette King, 46, female, whose death was being investigated as a homicide. An obituary and funeral notices published in late June and July 2025 corroborated that Lazette King, age 46, died in Houston that week.
