The 24-year-old had played defensive line for Texas Southern University through the 2023 season, a hometown product whose trajectory ran from Humble High School to four seasons with TSU. Within days, detectives identified and arrested a 22-year-old suspect, Isaac Jasper Robinson. Houston police announced that Robinson was charged with murder in the 482nd State District Court; a booking photo accompanied the release.
