Derrick Davis, 47, of Greenville, Texas, died on the night of August 9, 2025, after a shooting on the 3500 block of Lee Street. A Black man, Derrick Davis, 47, was found with gunshot wounds around 8:20 p.m., and first responders rushed him to Hunt Regional Medical Center, where Derrick Davis, 47, was pronounced dead. Police said the call came in as shots fired, and when officers arrived they discovered Derrick Davis, 47, gravely injured.
