On July 19, 2025, in Renton, Washington, 39-year-old Jamie Lee Ray, a White female, was tragically killed in a shooting that also claimed the lives of her sister, Darcey Ann Moore, age 46, and Moore's 9-year-old daughter, Alexia Garcia. The incident occurred at the Hillcrest Terrace Apartments, where all three victims were found to have been shot in the head twice. Ray was a mother of eight, and her siblings described her as one of the strongest women they knew.
