In the quiet, early morning hours of May 19, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in a home on Whaley Street in Warrenville, South Carolina, forever altering the lives of a family and community. Inside, 53-year-old Cherie Hewitt, a White/Caucasian female, was found unresponsive by sheriff's deputies who were responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:24 a.m. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene less than an hour later, the victim of a single gunshot wound.
