A college student is found dead on the university theater's main stage
Sigrid Stevenson, a 25-year-old graduate music student at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), was found murdered on September 4, 1977. Her body was discovered on the main stage of Kendall Hall, where she had been practicing piano late into the night. Stevenson had been brutally beaten, suffering a fatal skull fracture. Although her body was found nude, no evidence of sexual assault or robbery was uncovered.
