Tyreker Childress, 23, a Black male, died in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 22, 2025, his life ending in the predawn quiet of the Corning Village Apartments on Steele Street. Officers arrived just before 1 a.m. to find him with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
