On the night of July 18, 2025, 60-year-old Carol Wilson Baker, a female from the Mayesville area of Lee County, South Carolina, was found mortally wounded in her car on Mikado Road. Deputies responding around 9:45 p.m. discovered that Carol Wilson Baker, age 60, had been shot while driving and was pronounced dead at the scene.
