Ja’Sown Bivins, a 25-year-old Black male, was shot and killed on the night of June 5, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. Officers were called to the 1100 block of Johnland Avenue in the Goodyear Heights area shortly before 10 p.m. and found him lying in a driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene; the medical examiner recorded the time of death at 10:19 p.m.
