Jonathan Ferrell Baldwin, 31, a Black male, died on May 27, 2025, after a shooting in the Sandyfield area near Riegelwood in Columbus County, North Carolina. Deputies were called to a home on Browntown Road that evening amid reports of an argument that spiraled into violence. According to investigators, the dispute between Baldwin and another man escalated and shots were fired.
