In the late evening of September 13, 2025, a domestic dispute in Johnsonville, South Carolina, tragically claimed the life of 3-year-old Antonio Kamani Burgess II. The young male was fatally wounded by a gunshot to the head while seated in the back of a car on Midway Highway.

The events leading to the fatal shooting began to unfold around 9:25 p.m. when deputies were called to the Johnsonville Rescue Squad after Antonio was brought in with a gunshot wound. The child's mother was in a car ...
